Asst. Prof. Dr. Uğur Mercan

He was born 1982 at Adana. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 2007 and in the same year started to work at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his fellowship program at Ohio Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2012 and at the same year he completed his PhD thesis titled “Evaluation of the Effect of Processed Dentin on Bone Formation”. In 2016, he was accepted the ”Fellowship of AO Foundation, Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery ” and completed the program at ” Hannover University, Medical School, Department of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. He interests about dental implantology, soft and hard tissue reconstruction, bone grafting procedures, maxillofacial trauma, temporomandibular joint diseases and surgical treatments and has many international and national articles about oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr Mercan has worked in Okan University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as an Assistant Professor position since 2014.
